Almost impossible for me to pick one favourite song from the year I was born (1978) because most of my favourite music was from around then.

Think of all the punk and post-punk: Joy Division, Misfits, Stiff Little Fingers, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Devo, Buzzcocks, The Undertones, The Clash, Tubeway Army, The Damned, etc.

Then there’s the wacky proto-80s new wave, electronics, art pop, pomp rock, and… stuff that I like: Meatloaf, Billy Joel, Kraftwerk, Kate Bush, Queen, Blondie, John Prine, etc.

@scronide the last Who album (at least the original good lineup) came out in 1978 as well!

@scronide yep, "Who Are You." It's my least fave of their original albums (but that's not to say it's bad - I just like the others more).
